Beni Shi En

Introduced by Harold Johnston of Alabama, this cultivar name means "red smoke.". Irregularly shaped deep purple red leaves with a soft, tattered edge of white fluff. The leaves can often be strongly sickle shaped or otherwise irregular. Ben Shi En dances gently in the breeze under the Carolina Silverbell, catching the eye when seated at the patio table.
