Acer palmatum
Sekka Yatsubusa has very tight, congested growth that forms knots and curls naturally. Growth can be fascinated, meaning twigs and branches grow fused and flattened. Leaves can be bluish green, especially as they just open, aging to a nice pleasant green. Fall brings yellow and red colors. On Maple Hill, Hogyoku is planted nearby under a very tall poplar for a breadth of Fall color.
