Germaine's Gyration

Acer palmatum

Dissectum

About

This exceptional cultivar shakes and twists naturally to provide a beautiful irregularly shaped dissectum. It requires very little encouragement to add height. It serves as an "overstory" in the Container Garden area. Beautiful light yellow-green in Spring, green in Summer, finishing a very fine gold with red accents in Fall. This variety may be synonymous with Contorta. After growing side by side, they are similar, but Contorta seems to be slower and lower mounding, with Germaine's Gyration being more vertical.
