Beni Ubi Gohon

Dwarf to slow growing dark red linearilobum with a shrub like form. Stems are shades of purple which is noticeable in Winter. I find this is a relatively hardy variety even in harsh icy conditions. The Japanese translation is fine red fingers, referring to the red strap like or bamboo type leaves. My Japanese expert Ted shares that Beni Yubi Go Han may be slightly better.
