Acer truncatum x platanoides
This maple has a very narrow, compact shape. Glossy green leaves emerge that hold up well in Southern heat to blistering red color in Fall. Reported to get up to 25 feet tall in 10 years, mine has shown nice restraint in container, and very little fuss.
