Acer palmatum
This is reproduced from one of the oldest Japanese maples in Japan, sitting on a hill near a temple in the Fukushima prefecture. This is a vigorous tree that begins twisting and weeping at a very young age. Fall color is beautiful in tones of oranges. I'd like to compare this to cultivars like Ryusen over time.
